This article is about an elder Chinese woman who was forced to live in her son’s garage. This woman was found living in the garage with no suitable needs for a human, by the neighbor next door. The neighbors name was Chao Yang and he had stated to the police that he never sees the garage door open. Later on the police got involved and for 4 months Yang’s neighbor had kept his mother in the garage. His mother lived in the garage because she was defecating and urinating on herself and did not seem to notice. At approximately 10:50 on a Wednesday night the police got a call that a woman was unconscious and unresponsive. They later found that she had not eaten for many days and only had 1 piece of bread in her “room”. This woman had suffered from elder abuse from her own son who made her live in the garage.This is an awful example of elder abuse. It was said that this is the worst example of elder abuse the police officer has ever seen. It is so hard to believe that this woman was forced to live in her son’s garage by her own son. It is sad to see that her son did not seek help for his mother when she was most in need. I really hope that this woman will receive help and that her son will be charged and go to jail for doing such an awful thing.
A situation like this makes me wonder what goes on in some people's minds. A persons mother is one who is nuturing and caring and gives their children undivided love. There is no excuse for someone to lock their mother in their garage and practically starve her until she is unconcious. It is disgusting to see a couple treat their elderly mother like that. If it wasn't for Chao Yang, there may have never been any suspicion raised about the acitivity going on in his neighbour's household. I completely agree with Nick on this matter, under no circumstance should a son abuse his own mother.
ReplyDeleteThis situation is truly sickening to read. How could someone do that to their own mother, especially when she is elder. Personally I will never understand the reason for that awful decision but I'm assuming this young man had severe mental issues that drove him to such an extent. Mother's are very special in the way they treat their kids and raise them to grow up into good human beings. Without a mother you would not have been born and for a couple to treat their elderly mother like that is awful. I definitely have to agree with nick when he says that he hopes the mother will receive help and the son will go to jail. You should never hope death upon anyone but this psycho needs severe punishment.
